Smashing Olive Rosemary Olive Oil Popcorn

This do-it yourself microwave popcorn is SO much healthier than those chemical-laden bags of microwave popcorn you buy at the store.  With just Smashing Olive's Rosemary Extra Virgin Olive Oil and sea salt, this will be your new go-to snack at T.V. time.


Ingredients:
1 brown paper lunch bag
1/4 cup popcorn
Smashing Olive Rosemary Fused Olive Oil*
Sea salt to taste



Directions:
Put 1/4 cup popcorn in a brown lunch bag.  Fold over the top edge, put it into the microwave and lay it down on it's side (see photo below).  Microwave for 2 minutes or less (as soon as you stop hearing the popcorn pop for a few seconds it's time to pull it out).

Carefully open the bag (it will be hot) and pour the popcorn into a bowl.  Immediately drizzle Rosemary Olive Oil on top of popcorn and sprinkle with sea salt. Toss to mix and enjoy!

*Your choices are endless: Try Smashing Olive's Garlic Infused Olive Oil, Baklouti Green Chili Pepper Fused Olive Oil, or Butter Infused Olive Oil to name a few.

Spicy Chickpea Salad

So easy to assemble this flavorful salad using just a few ingredients and the deliciously spicy Harissa Infused Olive Oil...

Spicy Chickpea Salad

2 cans of chickpeas, rinsed
1/2 cup feta cheese crumbled
1/4 cup Smashing Olive Harissa Infused Olive oil
1/4 cup chopped red onion
1/4 cup chopped flat-leaf parsley
Juice of 1/2 lemon
salt & pepper to taste

Mix all ingredients and chill in the refrigerator.  Enjoy!

Just two healthy ingredients from Smashing Olive make the perfect vinaigrette!

So simple, just mix equal parts Olive Oil + Vinegar, add a little salt and you're done! We have over 40 varieties to taste and choose from. We can suggest some delicious combinations. 
I paired the Blood Orange EVOO and Honey-Ginger White Balsamic for yesterday's salad. Today I mixed Basil EVOO and Sicilian-Lemon Balsamic. Both pairings had the perfect amount of sweetness, tang, citrus, spice...YUM! Just two pure, fresh ingredients but tons of flavor.

Use our heart-healthy extra virgin olive oil in place of butter in your next fruit crumble or cobbler recipe. This one's made with our whole fruit fused Blood Orange EVOO and it is delish! Lemon, Mandarin, Persian Lime or even our Butter flavored EVOO would work well too!

Ingredients:
3 parts vodka 
1 part Cara-Cara Orange Vanilla White Balsamic Vinegar 
Try other flavors...the Blackberry-Ginger is awesome too!

optional: Simple Syrup (equal parts sugar and water heated until sugar dissolves)


Shake vigorously over ice and strain into glass.  

For a non-alcoholic fun drink, add your favorite "Smashing Olive" balsamic to a glass of club soda over ice.

Everyone loves the Blackberry-Ginger Balsamic - it's so versatile. I mixed up a vinaigrette with our Special Reserve EVOO (which has amazing depth of flavor) and the Blackberry-Ginger balsamic for my shredded kale, broccoli and brussels sprouts bagged salad. A little salt and some dried cranberries...so easy and so yummy!
